15 Things You Might Have Missed In It Takes Two
It Takes Two is a cute co-op game, but many of you may have missed these secrets and connections.
It Takes Two is a great co-op adventure that will take you and a friend on the trip of a lifetime. In the blink of an eye, putting yourself in Cody and May’s shoes goes from being a bit boring to a very fun and strange journey. The fights that this once-happy married couple keeps bringing up add another layer to their personalities, their relationship, and the journey that almost pushes them over the edge.
Even though they didn’t want it, their daughter casts a spell on them that brings back their lost love and reignites the embers of their relationship. Even though this trip has a lot of fun things to do, there are also some surprises you might not know about. Here are some of the most important secrets that no one saw in It Takes Two.
Terminator 2 Thumbs Up

It Takes Two is full of great game references and nods to other media, but it is also full of funny movie moments. Near the end of the Rose’s Room story is one of the most famous. At the end of the part where the game becomes an RPG like Diablo, you have to drop a toy that you’ve killed into fire.
As the toy gives up and falls into the fire, she gives you a thumbs up as she goes. This was a funny surprise that made me think of the famous scene from Terminator 2. Those who know had a good time with this one, no doubt.
A James Bond Squirrel

Another funny part of the game is when you find out that squirrels and wasps are at war with each other. The squirrels take the whole thing very seriously, but in a funny way, and they want you to join them in their war. They even give you two tools to use against people who are trying to hurt them.
The whole thing is funny, and the name of the scientist squirrel makes a great joke. When he talks to you over comms after giving you his experimental guns, his name is shown as “Q.” For James Bond fans, this is a clear tribute, since Q is also the quartermaster who gives Bond his famous tools.
Rainbow Road From Mario

This one is a little bit more clear, but it’s still possible to miss it if you’re caught up in the images and the buildup to the emotional climax. Near the end of the game, the two main characters have to slide down a brightly coloured road to get where they need to go.
Rainbow Road from Mario Kart is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a colourful road. This shows once again that the makers are gamers at heart and love the medium a lot, which is always nice to see, especially in a game as well-made as this one.
Two Characters, One Actor

It Takes Two is a story about coming to know yourself and how following your passions and liking yourself makes it easier to love others. Well, that goes double for Cody, since he is the same person as the couple’s spiritual guide, Dr. Hakim.
In this game, Joseph Balderrama does a great job as both Cody and Dr. Hakim. If you didn’t read the credits, you’d never know it was him. When you think about it, it is kind of funny that Balderrama spends half of the game giving himself love advice.
Why Dr. Hakim Comes To Life

Even though he looks and talks weird, Dr. Hakim helps Cody and May with their relationship and gives them spiritual advice throughout the game. But not much is said about his real powers or his past. Still, there are some clues to be found. The writing on his back says that Dr. Hakim lives wherever people need love, desire, and direction.
That could mean that Dr. Hakim shows up because our couple needs those things very much. Since it turns out that Rose brought the book home, she may also need love and guidance, since she is the child of a pair who is about to split up. In Arabic, Hakim also means “wise,” so he would probably know where he’s needed most.
Breaking Open A Piggy Bank

Rose’s room is full of great secrets, like a piggy bank with a bunch of coins around it that doesn’t look like much. You can actually pick up and put these coins in the cash bank.
When the piggy bank is full, you can stomp on it with all your might to break it open and get an award. It’s a simple but great secret that most of you will miss if you rush through the game.
Feeding A Seal

In the open cold area, you can play a pretty cool minigame where you skate on ice. It’s a fun minigame, but many people have probably missed a secret that’s close by.
In this minigame, there is a harpoon gun near where you start. At first, you can use this tool to grab one of the jumping swordfish. After that, you need to shoot that fish into the mouth of a seal that is right in the line of sight of your harpoon gun. This will feed the animal and give you an achievement.
Finding A Pirate’s Treasure

If you look around this icy spot, you’ll find a ship that got stuck. If you’re feeling brave, you can get on this ship and find a great secret that’s easy to miss.
You can find a bunch of coins and a pirate’s hat in a box on the ship. If you do this, you can get a cool award that most fans will be glad to get.
The Bug Spa

In the garden level, you have to fight a boss called the Burrower. When you finish this, you can go to a place with an arch and a sign for a spa.
Just follow the signs and you’ll find a secret bug spa with a lot of things you can do. When you do one for a short time, you’ll get an easy award. Even though this might make some of you uncomfortable, it’s a cute and surprising moment.
Meditate In Peace

As you look around the attic, you’ll find yet another peaceful moment. You’ll get to a place where you’ll be able to fly. Wander around this open area to find a cool secret spot.
You can go inside a tent that has a place in the middle for Cody and May to sit and think. It’s a cool secret that most of you wouldn’t mind finding out, especially since doing so will also give you an award. There aren’t many games that give you time to think these days, and this is one of the best.
Figurines Depicting The Characters From A Way Out

Hazelight Studios makes It Takes Two. They also made the famous co-op action-adventure game A Way Out. Unlike It Takes Two, which was mostly funny, A Way Out is a serious story about a jail break that will keep you on the edge of your seat. At the centre of this game are the two main characters, Vincent Moretti and Leo Caruso.
It makes sense for Hazelight to want to talk about this game. This was done with the help of two plastic figures that can be found in a secret part of the pillow fort level. If you and your partner want to unlock a cool achievement. You can time your stomps on the buttons in front of these figures.
The Rupees From The Legend Of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most well-known and important game series ever made. Every game in this long-running series has been famous in some way, showing why Nintendo is so respected in the gaming world.
It looks like the people who made It Takes Two are fans of the series, too. Because they added a cool easter egg that refers to The Legend of Zelda. After going a little further into the level with the cuckoo clock, you can get a paddleboat. There is a clear way to move forward in the game, but you can also use this boat to get to a secret area with a room full of rupees and pots that can be broken.
A Radio Transmission Of Josef Fares’ Famous Speech

Josef Fares is known in the video game world for being very vocal. The way he talks about the business shows how much he cares about it, and nothing shows this better than the famous speech he gave at The Game Awards, where he talked about the benefits of games and how they are the most immersive art form, better than movies and other things. During this passionate speech, he even used the famous F-bomb to make fun of the Oscars.
The people who worked on the game at Hazelight Studious loved Fares’s speech so much that they put a small piece of it in Happy Wheels game itself. At one point in the game. You have to line up a satellite so that it can pick up a certain signal. But if you turn the radio all the way around behind you and point it at a certain spot in the sky. You can tune into a frequency where this speech is being played.
The Fireworks Show After Climbing The Helltower

The Helltower is one of the hardest things you can do in It Takes Two when you’re trying to get from one stage to another. Most of you will be relieved to learn that this tower is totally optional and can be built by only one person.
Because the platforming here is so hard, most people just ignore this tower. But if you go the extra mile and climb all the way to the top. You’ll get a machine that lets you watch your own fireworks show. It might be a small prize that doesn’t mean much, but if you’ve beaten the tough Helltower, this moment will be much more special.
A Turtle Who Lost Her Children

In the middle of the Snow Globe level is a frozen lake. If you go all the way to the back of this lake. You’ll find a mother turtle with four empty nests in front of her. It’s clear that she’s lost her kids, and it’s up to you to find them.
Before these kids show up, you must first turn on the four towers. After that, you can go back to the frozen lake and find the little turtles just chilling out on the ice. Bring these turtles back to their homes. So the mother can rest and you can get back to the main goal.
