Zoo Mean is an ongoing body of work that explores this relationship through paintings, drawings and sculptures by both artists with each piece representing aspects found within themselves—and beyond!

Adkins and Malinchak met in New York City in 2010 where they began collaborating on what would later become Zoo Mean. They were inspired by their love for hip hop music but also wanted to create something new with their own sound. Their debut album “Ghettofunk” was released in 2013 on 4X4 Records (a subsidiary label of Universal Motown). In 2014 they released “The Art Of Zoo Mean”, an EP that featured two songs from “Ghettofunk” remixed by DJ Riddler who was known at that time mainly for his work with hip hop producers such as88-Keys & 9th Wonder
